Hemera’s Exfoliating Ocean Salt Body Scrub with Essential Oils leaked a little in transit. Even though there was plastic around it and the cap was screwed on tightly, some of the oil seeped into the packaging. And no wonder, this stuff is really oily.My wife tried it and loves how exfoliating and nurturing it feels on her body. She massaged it in circular motions enjoying the sensation of the salt and oil penetrating her skin. There are rather large salt pieces in the mix that complement the oily concoction. It smells heavenly with a strong presence of lavender in the scrub that lingers a little while on the skin. It rinses off fairly easily, but leaves an oily residue. Though her skin looks and feels moisturized, it is a bit greasy.Overall, the Ocean Salt Body Scrub is a quality product using several essential oils. I like to think of this like getting taking a bath or a shower in the ocean where the salt just helps smoothens your skin. In the shower you just take some and put it on your hand and just rub it all over your body. You can feel the scrub/salt over yourself. You can kind of feel the oil which is good. After the shower you can definitely feel a change in your skin. The oil and salt combination is like a bath bomb but with a scrubber all together. I did like the larger exfoliating beads in it, that did leave a nice smooth feeling on my skin.The thing I didn’t like was how oily is was. First, when I went to open it, it was completely sealed up but yet the whole cover was covered in oil which was concerning. Once you get the product on your hands and skin, it does leave a thin layer of oil which does go away after time but it doesn’t make you feel very clean.

this body scrub arrives ready to start using right away. It works great. It exfoliates my skin while leaving it moisturized without making the shower floor dangerously slippery. While it is not my favorite because of the scent, there isn’t anything wrong with it and it is fresh while working great so five stars!

You would think this will feel rough, based on the appearance, but it’s actually pretty gentle on skin. The scent isn’t too strong and left my skin feeling smooth and moisturized.

The Ocean Salt Body Scrub is provided in a eight-ounce plastic jar. The Scrub has the look of … well … granular salt. The salt is on the ingredients list behind Coconut Oil and and Sunflower Seed Oil. It should come as no surprise that the oils give an oily feel to the Scrub when it is applied. I was worried that the Scrub would leave an oily residue. However, after washing with warm water, the oils seemed to disappear entirely, leaving my skin fresh and pink. This Scrub really works if you can get past the initial oiliness.

When I got this, it is all oily outside the container. It is not sealed enough and I have to wipe it with napkins and spray with alcohol to remove the oil because everything I touch becomes oily after holding this bottle. Anyway, it is not as scrubby and so it is not as effective as I thought it would be. The formula is too oily. although, it is easy to remove the excess oiliness with soap. The smell is good, I like lavender. Made in Serbia.

My wife uses this brand to exfoliate. It leaves her skin supple and soft. The ocean is magical for extremely dry skin and so is this product. Rub away your scale! Keep your skin soft!

Have used this twice now – once in the shower, once in a bath – I was able to enjoy much more in a bath and had a reduced chance of slipping – this does contain oil and will remain on the surface of the tub or bath – so make sure you clean off or at least let the next person using it know to be cautious. I was able to clean the slippery feeling away just by rubbing with my feet but be aware. Texture was perfect, felt like it was exfoliating without grinding too hard, a very pleasant sensation. Lovely product with a really nice natural lavendar fragrance.

I use scrubs almost daily and I prefer more abrasive scrubs because they help keep my keratosis pillaris under control. This scrub has a nice grittiness to it that is made with a mix of large and small granules of salt. It does a fair job as a scrub and leaves my skin feeling nicely exfoliated. However, this is very oily! The oil even leaked out in the packaging and made the packaging oily and inside it still had an excess of oil. I don’t love excessive oils in my scrubs. I don’t like the excess oils on my skin but I also don’t like them coating my tub and making the tub slippery. I have to follow up this scrub with a soap to remove the oils because they are just too much. The lavender is strong so if you like lavender you’ll probably like this. I don’t like lavender, but I live with it because it’s just so common to scrub scents but this one is pretty strong and it lingers even after using a soap to follow the scrub.

This product smells amazing-it’s lavender and you can tell it’s natural essential oil and not a weird take on lavender in the form of perfume. I was a little weirded out that it contains silica(because I don’t know what it’s for or why it’s there), and there were kind of large pieces in it, that were larger than sea salt. They were like the size of a pearl of barley. Initially I thought that they might scratch my skin, but they did not. I don’t know what they are or what purpose they are meant to serve, but they were not a problem.This product is oily. I have dry skin, so I was happy with the moisture it supplied.I ended up thinking this product is great and I would definitely order it again.You should make sure to clean the floor of your tub to avoid slips after using this scrub.Also, the oil from the product had leeched out of the container in shipping, which wasn’t ideal.

This scrub has a mixture of small and large pieces of salt granules in it to give skin a good deep cleaning. I apply the scrub on my body when my skin is damp so the salt doesn’t melt quickly and I get the maximum benefit from it. After I wash my body, the essential oils in it make my skin feel soft, nourished and rejuvenated. The lavender fragnance was a little too sharp for me at first, but after I washed my body it left a very pleasant lavender scent on my skin.Even though the bottle had a factory seal on it, it still arrived leaked in the shipping box. I am disappointed because all that essential oil got wasted away.
